How To Cook Laksa Soup

AFTER THE RIDE A SCICLI

Dear friends, anyone tonight (Saturday 20marzo ) was in the vicinity of Scicli and did not come to know and live the party St. Joseph, know that you missed an opportunity to experience good times, those that do not forgotten, and to know the real Sicily .
Still surprised to discover that kids my age (thirties, say), who live in the Ragusa area, do not know the beauty of these traditional festivals ... It's never too late! Scicli
Tonight we got to 22:30, when the party seemed finished : no horses harnessed with the purple lock, awards already made, everyone in your car and walk towards the people ... instead of continuing the Scicli party! Walking towards the Dolomites are discovered via bonfires, around which frying sausage, bacon, chicken wings, artichoke, and then dessert: almond and cinnamon ice, cakes, fried bomblets, ciocolato cake, and red wine, brandy homemade wonderful. Mrs. Concetta, 90 years old in September, tells me that now than it was this party so much enjoyed by scliclitani, very little is left. In his day the fires were numerous, one at each street corner, bosgnava not ask permission from the municipality, there were no security problems arrival of natural gas! The fires were lit one by one after the passage of horses (also many more of today) who entered in the alleys of Scicli.
Me and my friends we approached and focused on four fires ... really too good laughter, music, dancing until 3 in the morning and a half. Unforgettable hospitality around each fire, the desire to talk, to tell the strength to eat until there is! The latter are artichokes, even after the docle are fine, beautiful warm with olive oil and parsley.
I did not make photos, not just because I left the camera in Berlin, and maybe it was not by chance that one of my friend Valerie had been discharged at the climax: I think rightly so, these evenings that are to be lived ! I hope from the bottom of my heart that never disappear, but the testimony of Mrs. Concetta is proof that, whatever happens, these traditions change over time, it will fade ... what? Perhaps the only thing to do is to live them, because we have the good fortune of being able to live them again.
Chiara
